mother earth

Just spent the morning at the twins's pre-school. Today they celebrated Earth Day. The kids were divided up in groups and had several "stations" to go to with activities all related to Mother Earth and how to be more gentle towards her. Nothing like preparing the grown-ups of tomorrow to the 3 R's. These budding environmentalists donned gloves and went around the neighbourhood collecting garbage, viewed a short and sweet movie on the water cycle, fabricated kites, discussed how we can be environmentally-friendly and each was given a pedometer to count their steps. Was a perfect day weather-wise and plenty of wind to fly their new kites!!!

So have a warm thought for Mother Earth today :)

Sounds like the perfect way to spend Earth Day at school.
