hanging in there

Previous life: where I wanted to be...career woman, happily married, perfectionist, control freak, tidy house, business running like a tight ship. First child arrives, fulltime working mom, can handle it all. Current life: where I want to be...stay at home mom to a pre-teen girl and girl/boy twin preschoolers, ditched the career (had the twins at 40), perfectionism took a hike, life out of control, untidy house and trying to keep household afloat! So I'm just hanging in there!!!

new me

Well, after a week of purging, cleaning up, re-organizing around the house, moving furniture and wall hangings and picture frames around, I was on a roll. I was in a "change" kinda of mood.

So, on a whim, when I sat in the hairdresser's chair yesterday morning I declared: let's go shorter and darker! So, off went 4-5 inches and I'm no longer a blonde with highlights but a brunette!! When I see myself, I feel like I have a wig on. So far I've had a few astonished looks. The true test will be tomorrow evening when my babies come back home :)

i watched a good year last night at the movies.. and fell in love again with long brunette tresses...
thinking, just maybe, of swapping my blonde locks next winter....
